• Technical evaluation of pre-prototype photonic devices by independent and unbiased experts in the technical field;
• Engagement with University Researchers which can also be extremely useful in a wider context than just the current project;
• Potential feedback on new applications of the evaluated device and possibly of other devices also;
• Contact with University staff, students and post-graduates with the possibility of recruiting highly talented people into their company;
• Recovery of marginal cost of providing devices.

Benefits for Device Recipients are:

• Early access for researchers and students to photonic devices not yet available on the open market;
• Engagement with leading edge industry which can also be extremely useful in a wider context than just the current project;
• Publications are based on real emerging technology devices;
• Enhanced employment opportunities for students;
• Devices paid for by the ACCORD Project.
